Scott Hogan has been a working musician for over 25 years. He attended NYU as a jazz performance major and studied under Mike Richmond. Scott also studied under John Patitucci, who recommended him to Mercury Records for touring with the pop group Hanson. Scott backed them up on several tours which included 5 performances on Late Night with David Letterman and the 1998 Grammy Awards.

Scott also spent four years touring the US with the Bernie Worrell Orchestra. Bernie Worrel was a close friend and is missed by all those who were lucky enough to work with him.

Other artists Scott has performed with are percussionist Glen Velez, The Shirelles, Rah Diggah and Jimmy Destri from Blondie.

He’s also licensed music he’s written and has had his music used by Snapchat, The 2017 Miss Universe Competition, and the late director Jonathan Demme.

Scott endorses Lakland basses and Dean Markley strings.
